We just released Firefox Desktop 100.0.2, Firefox Mobile 100.3.0 and Firefox ESR 91.9.1 in response to the exploits demonstrated at #Pwn2Own.
@jrconlin @mossop all these good thoughts and questions the compiler put in your heads. and even for free! :D heap allocations, mutation, hash operations, null/empty checks. I know it’s all super verbose and annoying but I really think this is also Rust’s strength. So much preferable over runtime errors imho
@mossop yup it’s quite verbose. Sometimes the distinction from None to empty String to literal is quite important though. Not for most higher level applications admittedly:-))
